Beckett Park – park area | City of Boroondara

Beckett Park is suitable for children's play and casual social gatherings like picnics.

It features an extensive playground, a range of indigenous plants and a stone observation tower. The stone observation tower is only open when Maranoa Gardens is staffed and not during bad weather.

Before you book
You can book a grass area in the park for your exclusive use.

We require at least 5 full business days notice.

You can apply to bring:
– up to 20 chairs and 2 tables
– a marquee or arbour covering up to 40 square metres.

Parking and transport

The car park is accessible from Parring Road. The venue is 2.2 km from Mont Albert train station.

Booking times

7 days including public holidays.

April to October: 8 am to 6 pm.

November to March: 8 am to 8:30 pm.

Space	Fee
Alexandra Gardens, Canterbury Gardens, Surrey Gardens	$170 per hour (includes exclusive use of the rotunda). Commercial hire fee $1800.00 per day.
Central Gardens, Wallen Road Reserve and Maranoa Botanic Gardens	$170 per hour. Commercial hire fee $1800.00 per day.
All other parks and gardens	$170 per 4-hour block. Commercial hire fee $1800.00 per day.
Event bond	minimum $200
