From Friday 14 August 2026, you’ll be required to use your full 14-digit membership number to log in to your library account whether that's through the app, our online catalogue, self-service kiosks or third-party providers.
We know that many members are used to signing in with a shortened number or username. However, after the system upgrade, you'll only be able to access your account with your full number (starting with 20084) and your existing PIN.
Please note: if you have signed up for an online library membership, your number will remain 11 digits, starting with 20084.
This change is part of a broader system upgrade, designed to strengthen how your account is authenticated when you log in. This will provide better data protection for your information and ensure that your account successfully and securely integrates with other library services.

On a computer browser: open your browser's settings and look for Passwords or Autofill, find the library site and update or remove the saved login.
For more detailed instructions, click on the link related to your preferred browser:
In the library app: log out, then log back in using your full 14-digit number so the correct login is saved going forward.
Please note: exact steps may vary depending on your device and browser.
If you've added your library card to a digital wallet using the shortened number, you'll need to re-add it:
