A new chapter for our Most Wanted

We've refreshed our Most Wanted collection to make it easier for you to borrow the books you're most excited to read.

What is Most Wanted?

Our Most Wanted collection showcases the top fiction and non-fiction titles most sought after by our community — including bestsellers, recent releases, award-winners and popular reads. Our library staff choose the selection based on what's being reserved, requested and talked about most.

Look for the Most Wanted display stand in your local branch. Each title carries an identifying sticker, so they're easy to spot.

What's changed

A consistent collection across all branches

Previously, each branch had different Most Wanted titles, so the selection varied from branch to branch. We now have one curated collection of titles, available at every branch. Wherever you visit, you'll find the same collection.

More copies of each title

We've moved from a varied number of copies per title to a set number at each branch. This means there's a better chance the title you're after will be available to borrow.

You can now renew your loan

Previously, loans couldn't be renewed. However, we recognise that some Most Wanted titles are longer reads, and a week isn't always enough time to finish. You can now renew your loan once, giving yourself extra time.

Looking ahead

We're always looking to continue improving our Most Wanted, and that includes exploring a regular refresh cycle — so there's always a new selection of titles to look forward to — and expanding the range to include even more books. So, watch this space!

Borrowing details

Here's what you need to know before you borrow:

• No reservations — you can only borrow what's available in branch
• Borrow up to 2 Most Wanted titles at a time
• One week loan period
• One renewal per loan
• Available for browsing and borrowing at all our branches
