Ageism Awareness Day

In honour of Ageism Awareness Day 2026, we’ve put together a booklist to change your perspective on ageing. The books in this list encourage us to reflect on how assumptions about age can shape the way we think, speak and act. From picture books and fiction to memoirs, these stories challenge stereotypes and celebrate the diverse experiences and contributions of people as they age.
