Reading together can be a rewarding and valuable bonding experience, regardless of your child's age. Even if your child has begun to read independently, picture books remain a fun source of narrative art and text to share together.

Encourage your child to join in when reading or watching stories. Ask them what they see or what will happen next. Picture books are great conversation starters and can provide insight into their world, either offering a mirror of reflection or an opportunity to see things from a different point of view.
