Expand all Collapse all Replacing park furniture We may replace park furniture when:it's in poor condition, damaged or at the end of its useful life, or we are upgrading playgrounds inside the parks. This is so construction work can happen at the same time to minimise disruption. Our Public Realm Asset Manual (PRAM), which you can download at the bottom of this page, gives direction for replacing furniture assets in different park settings. Renewing paths We renew and upgrade paths in parks:in line with relevant plans (like park master plans) and strategies (like the Boroondara Bicycle Strategy)when other projects are delivered in the area (like pavilion or playground renewals).when they are reported to be in poor condition (through our ongoing park infrastructure auditing process). Renewing trees We renew trees in parks:when they are older, or are becoming unsafe or unhealthywhen they are performing poorly in the landscapeto create ecological diversity in our parks.Find out more on our Tree renewal page.
