Wurundjeri Trail, Chandler Reserve along the Birrarung River (opposite Guide Dogs Victoria) Kew VIC 3101
Join Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung Traditional Owner educators for a guided walk along the Wurundjeri Trail beside the Birrarung (Yarra River). Beginning with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony, this unique experience offers the opportunity to connect with Country and learn about the culture, language and stories of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung community.
Located at Chandler Reserve, the 460-metre trail features interpretative signs sharing stories of Country. Along the way, discover a striking 60-metre mural by artists Ash Firebrace and Tom Civil, celebrating local flora, fauna and sharing the Wurundjeri story of the creation of the Birrarung, as told by Barak.

Go along the trail below the Chandler Highway bridge. You'll pass a 60-metre long Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung mural. Follow the trail until you reach Chandler Reserve, across from Guide Dogs Victoria. Keep an eye out for the start of the Wurundjeri Trail, marked by a small dirt path that leads to the Birrarung River. This path is located beside a large grassy area. The first sign you’ll see on the Wurundjeri Trail is labelled 'Tanderujm – Welcome to Country'.
