The Boroondara Proms brings together some of our community’s finest musicians for a spectacular celebration of music, song and tradition.
At the heart of the concert is Glenferrie Brass, joined by the wonderful voices of Camberwell Chorale and the stirring sound of the Hawthorn Pipe Band, creating an unforgettable combination of brass, pipes and voices.
The concert also features two outstanding soloists. Euphonium soloist James Blackford will showcase the warmth, brilliance and extraordinary versatility of one of the brass band’s most beautiful instruments, while acclaimed vocalist Matthew Hetherington brings his commanding voice and stage presence to some much-loved favourites.
Guiding audiences through the evening is compere Patrick Lawrence, bringing his trademark warmth, humour and energy to the stage.
From soaring melodies and spectacular brass to stirring pipes, glorious choral singing and opportunities for the audience to join in, the Boroondara Proms is designed to be a joyous celebration for the whole community.
Presented in the spirit of Creating Community through Music, this is an evening that celebrates the musicians, ensembles and people who make Boroondara such a vibrant place to live, perform and share music together.
