Book Giving Tree

This Christmas, City of Boroondara is teaming up with You Matter for our annual book-giving program. You Matter provides support to women and children who have experienced family violence.

Here’s how you can contribute:

• source a new book, ideally from a local Boroondara bookstore
• donate your book at a drop-off box at any of our local libraries
• make your book donation before 5 pm on Monday 15 December.

All books will be given to women and children to enjoy throughout the coming year. Book suggestions include:

• Children (ages 3 - 9): picture books, activity books, puzzles, colouring and sport themed books.
• Children and teens (ages 10 - 17): sports books, biographies, teen and young adult fiction, including adventure, mystery and fantasy.
• Mothers or caregivers: Biographies, fiction (adventure, mystery and stories of empowerment) and hobby books including gardening, craft, knitting, sewing, cooking and sports.
