Affinity Quartet leads the next generation of Australia’s chamber music with an inspired approach to music-making and their adventurous spirit as a string quartet for and of today. In 2023, the quartet competed at Hawthorn Arts Centre in the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, making history as the
first Australian group to win the grand prize. Returning home after a period in Europe, their program of Haydn, Beethoven and Bartók promises a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of the string quartet across two centuries.
