The Town Hall Gallery Education Program offers students and their teachers the opportunity to engage with works of art through a dynamic and changing exhibition program at their local art gallery

Book a school tour

To book a Town Hall Gallery tour for a school group, complete the Book a tour form. You'll be asked to enter your preferred date and time, participant details and your contact information.

We will email you confirming we have received your submission and will confirm your booking by email within 3 working days.

Primary students

Primary school student tour

In this fun and interactive tour, students hear directly from the exhibition curator and complete an engaging activity sheet.

Self-guided visits

Introduce your students to their local art gallery and view the current exhibitions at your own pace.

VCE students

VCE art tour

Through this curator-led tour of Town Hall Gallery, students are supported to develop critical and creative thinking skills when responding to artworks within the current exhibition. They learn to analyse the works on display using a variety of interpretive frameworks.

VCE studio tour

Students will hear directly from arts industry professionals on a curator-led tour of the current exhibition, learning about the structure of Town Hall Gallery and how it fits within the arts industry, as well as exhibition design and the technical presentation of artworks within an art gallery context.

Secondary and Tertiary students

Focussing on a particular area of study with your students? The Town Hall Gallery curators can develop a tour in partnership with your school to meet the specific needs of your class and age-group.
