Most of our members are retirees but we also have some who are still in the workforce but simply enjoy being part of the Shed community. No experience or expertise necessary! You can bring along a project of your own or perhaps help someone else. Please be aware that you will be responsible for your own activities – we do not run classes of any kind. Wednesday 10AM – 3P or Friday 10AM – 3PM Chair Based Exercises - Life Activities Club Boroondara Days: Tuesday Every Tuesday, for a fee of $10, some members meet for some guided chair based exercises, staring at 10.00 am. The sessions are specifically designed for senior members of the community. Off street parking is available at the rear of the church. Members enjoy social activities also and meet weekly on a Thursday evening. Tai Chi for beginners - Canterbury Neighbourhood House Days: Monday Tai Chi is an integrated mind and body exercise with a focus on control of movements for breathing and overall wellbeing. Originally derived from Chinese martial arts, tai chi focuses awareness of the motions of muscles and joints, breathing and movement. This class focuses specifically on Sun style which is known for its smooth, flowing movements and its gentle postures. It is particularly helpful for arthritis.
