Activities for seniors

Hawthorn Rowing Club welcomes newcomers to our volunteer-based community club, home to the renowned Head of the Yarra regatta. Members range from 13 to 83, encompassing all levels of experience. What is common is the friendship and dedication built around a passion for rowing.

Volunteers curate local items of heritage value which can be viewed on Mondays from 9 am to 3 pm. Must be a member.

Take a course to learn about history, world cultures, law, economics, philosophy and more. Become a member of U3A Hawthorn to access these and over 100 other courses and activities. Cost $50 per year.

Individual technology support for iPad/iPhone/Mac/PC/Laptop/Phone.

Learn news skills in using your mobile phone, computer or tablet.

Various times and days. $10/session.

Come and play bridge, mah jong, scrabble, chess or even learn how to solve a cryptic crossword. All wonderful ways to keep your mind active and have fun. Beginners as well as expert levels available. Become a member of U3A Hawthorn to access these and over 100 other courses and activities.

The group is designed to help you practice sending emails, searching the internet, taking photos, and using apps. Members must be over 65 years and registered with My Aged Care.
