Video game design and game ideation

All video games start with game design.

In this one-day workshop, we introduce students to the role of a video game designer. We will:

• break down the design process
• explore genres and systems of different games
• explore the process of creating game design documents
• develop a game pitch as a part of a design group.

Please note, this is not a coding workshop.

No prior experience required. This workshop is ideal for creative kids with an interest in games, storytelling or design and is recommended for ages 12 to 16. 

What to bring: Lunch and water bottle. Laptops will be provided, thanks to Metabox.

After the workshop students and families are welcome to explore the rest of the museum at no extra charge.
