Community Conversations: The art of boredom

Join us for an evening of conversation. This month’s theme will explore how we can reclaim stillness in a frantic world through the art of boredom.

We live in a world of constant stimulation, where time often feels like a commodity that owns us. Somewhere along the way, with our pace of life we've lost a vital human capacity: the ability to simply sit with our own thoughts and feel 'bored'. But what happens to our mental health, our creativity and our relationships when we never pause?

Our guest speaker will draw on her unique background to help us explore how reclaiming the 'unstructured pause' is actually the first step toward building a deeper, more compassionate connection with ourselves and our neighbourhood.

Community Conversations is a monthly initiative of the Boroondara Bahá’í community to bring like-minded people together to explore themes around current challenges, strengthen connection and understanding.
