All women matter

Join artist Dans Bain in a conversation with Penny Underwood, Hawthorn Historical Society President, about how she is working to move the perception of women killed through family violence as mere statistics to being remembered in their own right.

Dans Bain is the founder of the Lost Petition, an ongoing textile artwork that lists women and children who have lost their lives to gendered violence in Australia from 2008. The work is 40 metres long and proceeds to grow in length as women and children’s lives continue to be lost. It will be on show at the talk.

The conversation will be suitable for all ages.
