Tai Chi is a recreational fitness form of flowing movements designed to exercise and develop the body and mind in unison. The movements are performed in a slow dream-like pace, with deep concentration and diaphragmatic breathing to transport one into a state of tranquil relaxation.

Tai Chi utilizes the principle of non-physical exertion and internal organ exercise by way of corrective breathing, controlled stretching and gentle artistic movement to improve strength and balance.

With its gentle movements and focus on mindfulness and relaxation, tai chi is the perfect exercise for older adults. This class is specifically designed for older adults and the movements can be done in a chair, or holding a chair for support. Newcomers welcome. Fridays 10 to 11 am.
