A whole body gentle conditioning workout to improve overall strength, particularly the core muscles. This is a water based class that is suitable for all levels. Due to the in-water nature of the class, this class reduces bodyweight and allows participants to complete movements in water that they wouldn’t necessarily be able to do on land.
Many aged care services provide community buses to pick you up for regular trips to local shopping centres, libraries, senior citizen clubs and community health centres. There are also volunteer drivers who can take you to medical appointments and the like. Contact My Aged Care to see if you're eligible for subsidised services. If you are eligible an assessor will help you find services to suit your needs.

Circolo Pensionati Italiani Club hosted on Tuesday’s at Kew Seniors Centre and Thursday’s at Camberwell Community Centre. Weekly activities include afternoon tea with tombola and cards. Monthly lunches and outings. Runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 pm to 4 pm. Cost: $25 per year.

University of the Third Age (U3A) Deepdene

Our U3A is a welcoming environment that aims to provide learning opportunities and social interaction for retired and semi-retired members of the community. There is a wide range of classes and activities on offer and presenters are drawn from both outside and within the member group. We run over 70 full year courses – languages, exercise & walking groups, literature & film groups, music courses, art classes, extending your thinking sessions, history groups and travel presentations. These are all led by member tutors. Plus more than 80 short courses each term presented by local, interstate, and international lecturers.

Pilates exercises require concentration and perseverance. While it can take time to master some of the exercises, with patience and practice you will improve.
