Activities for seniors

Refine skills, express ideas confidently, and advance towards fluency, confidently express complex ideas, engage in deeper discussions, and unlock study and work opportunities.

This course runs every term throughout the year. We welcome new students at any time, however, you will need an interview with the co-ordinator before enrolling.

It's a wonderful opportunity for us to help vulnerable members of the community and ease the burden of social isolation, which we know can lead to poor health outcomes. With regular visits, both volunteers and older people can build meaningful connections and make a real difference in each other's lives.

Interested in studying philosophy, world cultures or history? Like to keep up with current affairs and discuss politics? U3A Deepdene offers over 70 courses and activities. Becoming a member is a great way to stimulate the mind and meet new people.

Learn some easy and affordable recipes over this 5-week course.

Course Dates: Fridays - March 7, 2025 - April 4, 2025

A lovely group enjoying flower arranging in both traditional and contemporary ways. Bring your own supplies and spend a relaxing morning creating gorgeous arrangements.

Suitable for students with 6 to 12 months experience in the language. Join our small, friendly class and continue your language journey with Marie, a native French speaker. The class covers reading, writing, grammar and conversation.
Tuesdays 10:30 am to 12 pm, 22 April until 1 July 2025.
