Eastern Senior Chinese Association

Location: Kew Seniors Centre, 533 High Street Kew
We provide opportunities for older people to participate in group activities to enhance well-being and foster connections, Mah-jong, Line Dancing, Traditional Folk Dancing, Choir, Karaoke, Creative Painting, Table Tennis, and Ballroom (Sequence) Dancing. We aim to encourage our members to be socially active, lead healthy lives, and promote independence. We are holding activities on Monday and Wednesday 9:30 am to 5 pm, and Friday 7 pm to 10 pm (exclude public holidays). Cost: $20 annual membership fee.

Easy Movers - Ashburton Pool and Recreation Centre

A gentle chair-based resistance class that aims to improve a participant’s ability to carry out essential day-to-day activities. A doctor's clearance is required before attending this class.

English Communication Skills (Level 2) - Alamein Neighbourhood and Learning Centre

Days: Monday
Location: Alamein Neighbourhood and Learning Centre, 49 Ashburn Grove Ashburton
The course will help improve your skills in English through conversation, reading, writing, speaking and listening.

The course is run at a Pre-intermediate level 2.

This course runs every term throughout the year from 9.30am - 12.00pm. New students are welcome at any time; an interview with the co-ordinator is required.

This is a free class for seniors over 65 years who are permanent residents or Australian citizens.

Tuesdays 12.30pm – 2.30pm during school terms.
