Activities for seniors

We organise activities such as board games and card games, fitness classes including Tai Chi, traditional singing and music, traditional dancing and line dancing, table tennis, outings, art classes and English lessons. Runs weekly on Saturdays from 9 am to 4 pm. Cost: $20 per year.

We provide opportunities for older people to participate in group activities to enhance well-being and foster connections, Mah-jong, Line Dancing, Traditional Folk Dancing, Choir, Karaoke, Creative Painting, Table Tennis, and Ballroom (Sequence) Dancing. We aim to encourage our members to be socially active, lead healthy lives, and promote independence. We are holding activities on Monday and Wednesday 9:30 am to 5 pm, and Friday 7 pm to 10 pm (exclude public holidays). Cost: $20 annual membership fee.

Make new friends, keep active and stay socially connected at Balwyn Evergreen Centre. We're a dynamic and caring community offering a range of activities for seniors in Boroondara. We offer a full exercise program, weekly 'Evergreen Club' luncheons and concerts, bus outings, Active Living Program, a ladies' luncheon group, special events, guest speakers, transport service, Allied Health Podiatry, dog walking and more. There's something for everyone and our aim is to keep seniors living full and independent lives in their community.

Balwyn Evergreen is a welcoming community centre offering a range of social support programs and activities for older people in and around Boroondara. We aim to keep people living independently in their own homes by enhancing their community connections. New enquiries welcome.

Meet other Chinese people (mostly Cantonese speaking) to socialise and discuss issues important to the community. We run a range of activities, including stretching exercise, Tai Chi (various forms) table tennis and talks on topics of interest by guest speakers. Runs on Mondays from 9 am to 2:30 pm. Cost: $15 annual membership.

Circolo Pensionati Italiani Club hosted on Tuesday’s at Kew Seniors Centre and Thursday’s at Camberwell Community Centre. Weekly activities include afternoon tea with tombola and cards. Monthly lunches and outings. Runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 pm to 4 pm. Cost: $25 per year.
