COVID-19 restrictions: what's closed and what's open.

The Gallery of Young Art (GOYA) is a space developed by young people, for young people and provides budding artists in our community with the opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional space.

Young artists involved with the initiative have access to valuable resources such as industry mentors, materials and support to nurture and cultivate their creative talents.

Current exhibition

Picture Our Words

An insightful and thought provoking exhibition, Picture Our Words brings together visual artists and creative writers, blending the boundaries of illustration and storytelling through a youth lens.

This exhibition is the result of a professional development workshop facilitated for young artists at the 360 Boroondara Youth Resource Centre.

Visiting the gallery

The Gallery of Young Art is located at the entrance to the 360 Boroondara Youth Resource Centre, adjacent to the existing arts precinct at the Hawthorn Arts Centre.

Opening hours

Day Time
Monday to Friday 12pm to 6pm
Saturday and Sunday 11am to 4pm

GOYA is an initiative of Solar Productions, a music and cultural events program for young people, funded by Council and the Victorian Government’s FReeZA program.

FReeZA is a Victorian Government initiative that supports young Victorians to get involved in their community by planning and running drug, alcohol and smoke-free events for other young people.
