10/22/2025 11:00 am 10/22/2025 12:00 pm PBS FM presents Rock-A-Bye-Baby with Charlie Needs Braces Boroondara Arts and PBS 106.7 FM are pleased to present this edition of Rock-A-Bye-Baby, which will feature a live performance from looping sister duo Charlie Needs Braces inspired by landscapes and learning about their family.Charlie Needs Braces is the live looping project of GuriNgai sisters Charlie and Miri, blending energetic soundscapes with language and storytelling. Since winning the 2022 Upstart Awards and 2023 Archie Roach Award, they've performed nationwide, including festivals like Woodford, Port Fairy and St Kilda and recently supported The Teskey Brothers on tour. Their debut album Saltwater People featured the standout single ‘Daryung’, earning praise from Triple J, ABC and Rage. Their latest release, NYAA WA ("take care" in GuriNgai language), continues their mission to celebrate and protect culture, Country and sacred sites, with music videos landing in Rage's Top 50 and coverage across Spotify, Apple and Women In Pop. Charlie is also known for work with Casey Donovan, The Teskey Brothers and Tek Tek Ensemble.Rock-A-Bye-Baby is a no-frills daytime concert designed for adults and kids alike and is PBS' way of connecting the youngest music lovers to the bands and artists that make up our city's diverse and ever-expanding music community. We welcome noise, encourage crawling and expect dancing! All adults and children require a ticket for entry.Coffee, babyccinos, tea, hot chocolates and snacks will be available for purchase at the venue.Photo credit: Makiko Ryujin , City of Boroondara [email protected] Australia/Melbourne public
