Though they speak differently, their friendship blooms through understanding and connection.Kiki and Zuki brings a unique blend of shadow puppetry and performative storytelling to kids and families. Kiki, a dreamer from the Moon, and Zuki, a curious Earthling, embark on a journey of friendship, understanding, connection and resilience.Kiki and Zuki was inspired by the artists’ personal migrant experience of navigating two cultures in Australia. As artists, they have always been fascinated by the challenges understanding new cultures while staying true to their own. Shadow puppetry allows them to explore these themes in a visually and emotionally captivating way.Children will be invited to view a performance by artists Taka Takiguchi and Youbi Lee, before making their own shadow puppet in a hands-on workshop with the artists.This event is best suited to children 6-12 years of age.Accompanying adults may attend for free after purchasing a child's ticket.   , City of Boroondara [email protected] Australia/Melbourne public
