Known for its iconic recordings of artists like Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, John Coltrane and Herbie Hancock, Blue Note played a crucial role in shaping modern jazz with its innovative sound, high production standards, and distinctive album artwork.Led by trumpeter and saxophonist Alex Howroyd, the band will feature some of Melbourne's finest jazz musicians including Paul Williamson on Trumpet, Paul Cornelius on Alto Saxophone, Olli Schute on drums, Mark Fitzgibbon on Piano and Jordan Taranto on Double Bass. Join us for an exciting evening of swinging tunes by iconic Jazz artists such as Lee Morgan, Art Blakey, Horace Silver and Kenny Dorham with a modern Melbourne spin. , City of Boroondara [email protected] Australia/Melbourne public
