The musical savant has graced Melbourne’s jazz clubs for more than two decades appearing in various trios, duos, curating his own shows and as a founding member of Electro Hip-hop outfit, the Melodics.In 2017, Blanes won the prestigious PBS Young Elder of Jazz and received multiple Green Room nominations for his Melbourne International Jazz Festival comedy show Hue Blanes and the Moon. The last 7 years has seen him based in the Netherlands, however Hue is back in Melbourne, to wow audiences and call this 'Four Seasons City' home.Hue Blanes is ‘out of the box’. He has been involved in myriad of genres and musical projects, all with the ultimate purpose of improving his playing and understanding of music.He writes jazz, classical music, tragicomic songs about love, dying and world conspiracies. Award-winning composer, singer and pianist Hue Blanes brings his love of all things Frank Sinatra to the Kew Courthouse.
