Themes of vast landscapes and fresh mountain streams inform the creation process of this music. An intention in Daniel's style is to connect with mystical luminous forces that reach out and inform our reality, creeping, and twisting like a vine, reaching, through the dampness and darkness towards the light. Dan Cully is a Melbourne based solo musician who writes original Indie/ roots music. His instrumental talent incorporates harmonica, didgeridoo, stomp box, guitar and soaring vocal melodies, giving his solo performance the power of a band. His sound can be likened to artists such as Xavier Rudd, John Butler. Dan is a national touring artist, in 2024 he was selected to support ARIA-award winning Aussie rock legend Deborah Conway, and three-time winning national Folk act The Weeping Willows. He has shared the stage at some of Australia’s best festivals with talents including The Pierce Brothers, 19 Twenty and Eskimo Joe. In 2024, Dan released four singles and completed a 40-show tour of the east coast of Australia, playing multiple festivals, (Mordi Fest, St Albans Folk Fest, Renaissance Festival, Playing the Field, Rockhampton River Fest, The Basin Music Fest) and performing around Tasmania, Victoria, NSW, and Queensland.About BronIn a quest for both experimentation and intimacy, Melbourne-based artist Bron creates cinematic and ethereal soundscapes that evoke the wonder and awe of being in the natural world. Translating her earthy, gentle nature into song, Bron’s music exists between the realms of chamber pop and contemporary folk (think Agnes Obel's chamber minimalism meets Ruelle's dramatic, ethereal vocal and the otherworldly melodies of Aurora).Bron is the moniker of singer-songwriter Bronwyn Rose Hicks, who was raised in a special little patch of Victoria’s Dandenong Ranges surrounded by rainforest, fern gullies and berry farms. Her background tells of a versatile instrumentalist and performer – cutting her teeth as a violinist before performing as a member of experimental vocal ensemble Invenio. After completing her studies at Monash, a stint living in Europe saw Bron jamming regularly with jazz musicians in the French Alps whilst completing further studies in composition at the CRR d’Annecy.A versatile and sought-after singer-songwriter, Bron’s voice has graced stages alongside the likes of Tina Arena, Andrea Bocelli, Lior and classical rock group Vereya. Beyond the stage, her work includes composing the score for the Australian short film End Of The Line, multiple sync projects for Viacom and composing the theme songs for Sydney-based Virtual Escape Rooms (Vex Arena).Fresh off the back of releasing her debut album In Another Realm to a packed house at The Catfish in June, Bron will bring an intimate set of her original music to the Kew Court House Live series with Robbie Finch on double bass and Andrew Moharic on guitar and harmonium. Genre: Folk, acoustic popSet times7 pm: Bar opens7:15 pm: Doors open7:30 pm: Bron8:15 pm: interval8:30 pm: Dan Cully , City of Boroondara [email protected] Australia/Melbourne public

Two beloved Melbourne singer-songwriters present sets exploring longing, love, inspiration - full of shapes, colour and texture.

About Dan Cully

Dan Cully is an artist who draws on inspiration from the natural world, watching how life and nature move in an interconnected way.

About Bron

In a quest for both experimentation and intimacy, Melbourne-based artist Bron creates cinematic and ethereal soundscapes that evoke the wonder and awe of being in the natural world. Translating her earthy, gentle nature into song, Bron’s music exists between the realms of chamber pop and contemporary folk (think Agnes Obel's chamber minimalism meets Ruelle's dramatic, ethereal vocal and the otherworldly melodies of Aurora).

Bron is the moniker of singer-songwriter Bronwyn Rose Hicks, who was raised in a special little patch of Victoria’s Dandenong Ranges surrounded by rainforest, fern gullies and berry farms. Her background tells of a versatile instrumentalist and performer – cutting her teeth as a violinist before performing as a member of experimental vocal ensemble Invenio. After completing her studies at Monash, a stint living in Europe saw Bron jamming regularly with jazz musicians in the French Alps whilst completing further studies in composition at the CRR d’Annecy.

A versatile and sought-after singer-songwriter, Bron’s voice has graced stages alongside the likes of Tina Arena, Andrea Bocelli, Lior and classical rock group Vereya. Beyond the stage, her work includes composing the score for the Australian short film End Of The Line, multiple sync projects for Viacom and composing the theme songs for Sydney-based Virtual Escape Rooms (Vex Arena).

Fresh off the back of releasing her debut album In Another Realm to a packed house at The Catfish in June, Bron will bring an intimate set of her original music to the Kew Court House Live series with Robbie Finch on double bass and Andrew Moharic on guitar and harmonium.
