Seasoned Melbourne jazz and pop singer, Liz Violi, brings her superb band to the Court House for: You Know This One... songs you know from pop, rnb and rock genres, lovingly given a new jazz treatment.

Melbourne vocalist and music educator Liz Violi is a seasoned performer whose work spans jazz, soul and contemporary music. A regular on Melbourne stages including the Paris Cat Jazz Club, Liz is also the long-time frontwoman of acclaimed corporate band Connotations and has toured as a backing vocalist with international pop icon Leo Sayer. Her recorded work includes a guest appearance with Melbourne blues-funk outfit Dukesy and The Hazzards.

Liz is backed by a formidable line-up of some of Melbourne’s most seasoned and versatile musicians. Adrian Violi performed on Russell Morris’ Sharkmouth, winner of the 2013 ARIA Award for Best Blues and Roots Album; award-winning pianist and composer Nathan Liow has performed internationally, appeared at Melbourne International Jazz Festival and supported Michael Bublé; while guitarist Nick Brown has recorded albums that spent more than six months on the Australian Blues & Roots charts and achieved a Top 25 Album of the Year placing in the US Roots Music Report.

Completing the line-up are highly experienced bassist and multi-instrumentalist Dave Evans, and saxophonist, composer and educator Steve Majstorovic, bringing decades of combined touring, recording and performance experience to the stage.
