Dave Graney

Dave Graney is one of Australian music’s great originals: a singer, songwriter, guitarist, author and broadcaster whose career has cut a singular path through post-punk, rock, lounge, country and pop. 

Originally from Mount Gambier, South Australia, Graney first emerged with The Moodists before forming a long creative partnership with drummer and multi-instrumentalist Clare Moore. Together, they have led acclaimed outfits including Dave Graney and the Coral Snakes, The Dave Graney Show and Dave Graney and Clare Moore. 

Graney won the 1996 ARIA Award for Best Male Artist for The Soft ’n’ Sexy Sound, and remains beloved for his sharp wit, droll stage presence and elegantly off-centre songwriting. Also an author and 3RRR broadcaster, Graney is a true cult figure: stylish, literate, funny and unmistakably himself.
