Appealing to our ears rather than our eyes, sound art challenges us to experience art through the act of listening. Although materially elusive and invisible, sound can engage us, move us and expand our imagination.

Sounds Like. brings together five Australian artists who use sound as the principal vehicle for the production of meaning in their works. Through immersive installation, sculpture and performance, this interactive exhibition explores the use of sound as a medium for artistic expression.

Sounds Like. was a group exhibition on display at Town Hall Gallery Saturday 11 May - Sunday 30 June 2019.

Featuring: Roger Alsop, Vicky Browne, Megan Alice Clune, Julian Day and Camille Robinson.
