We invite all members of the community to take part in a fun, bright, yarn-tastic installation at Hawthorn Arts Centre to celebrate Craft Contemporary 2021.
Led by artist, designer and pompom queen Rachel Burke, we’re inviting everyone to make a simple pompom and share a wish for the future.
This activity is suitable for all ages and abilities. We have organised a template and step-by-step instructions for you to follow along. All you need is some yarn and simple craft-making tools.
Make sure you send your APOMAWISH to Boroondara Arts by Friday 24 September. We will display it in the APOMAWISH installation at Hawthorn Arts Centre, which opens on 1 October 2021.
Send your APOMAWISH to:
Private Bag 1, Camberwell, VIC 3124
You can also drop your APOMAWISH at one of our libraries in a sealed bag or envelope.
Please visit our Libraries page to find out when your nearest library is open.
This project is part of the 2021 Craft Contemporary satellite program proudly hosted by Boroondara Arts.
