Make a pompom. Make a wish. Make an APOMAWISH.

We invite all members of the community to take part in a fun, bright, yarn-tastic installation at Hawthorn Arts Centre to celebrate Craft Contemporary 2021.

Led by artist, designer and pompom queen Rachel Burke, we’re inviting everyone to make a simple pompom and share a wish for the future.

This activity is suitable for all ages and abilities. We have organised a template and step-by-step instructions for you to follow along. All you need is some yarn and simple craft-making tools.

Submit your APOMAWISHES to Boroondara Arts to be displayed in the APOMAWISH installation at Hawthorn Arts Centre, which can be viewed when the centre re-opens.

Send your APOMAWISH to:

Boroondara Arts
Attention: Bridget
Private Bag 1, Camberwell, VIC 3124

You can also drop your APOMAWISH at one of our libraries in a sealed bag or envelope.

Please visit our Libraries page to find out when your nearest library is open.
