Following a sold-out Melbourne Recital Centre launch, award-winning saxophonist Joshua Moshe presents Art Don’t Lie, an immersive contemporary jazz performance blending improvisation, electronic textures and Jewish musical traditions. An all-star ensemble creates a groove-driven world exploring identity, memory and renewal.

South African-born, Melbourne-based saxophonist and composer Joshua Moshe is a leading voice in Australia’s contemporary jazz scene.
Winner of the 2023 Music Victoria Award for Best Jazz Release and the 2019 PBS Young Elder of Jazz Award, he has also received Australian Music Prize and APRA AMCOS Art Music Award nominations. Moshe has performed at Melbourne International Jazz Festival, NGV Friday Nights, Melbourne Music Week and Arts Centre Melbourne, with sold-out album launches at Melbourne Recital Centre.
His collaborators include Jordan Rakei, Myele Manzanza, Jerome Farah and Husky. His latest album, Art Don’t Lie, an immersive contemporary jazz performance blending improvisation, electronic textures and Jewish musical traditions, was released in 2026 to acclaim.
