Event details
Hailing from Melbourne, The Backyard Banjo Club are a tangled mess of banjo, violin, accordion, saxophone and bass.
Sometimes upbeat, sometimes sultry, they don’t take themselves too seriously and always have fun, bringing their audiences into their warm and upbeat energetic sets - Think Wes Anderson meets Quentin Tarantino, on string instruments!
From sell-out Melbourne shows to folk clubs and festivals around the country including Woodford Folk Festival, Yackandandah Folk Festival and Tablelands Folk Festival, they bring tongue-in-cheek stage banter and a healthy dose of instrumental finesse to the stage.
Phoebe Lindner - violin/vocals
Nathan Power – banjo/vocals
Sally Rochlin – saxophone
Panfred Reed – accordion
Thomas Young – double bass
