Painting has since been an important part of Dossetor’s rehabilitation, as he seeks inspiration in the places, creatures and themes he values as he battles adversity. Dossetor is particularly drawn to celebrating his connection to Melbourne and the community through landscapes. In turn, Dossetor hopes his works inspire and uplift those with disabilities to focus on their strengths.‘Overcoming Adversity’ charts Dossetor’s artistic journey, attesting to resilience, creativity and the human spirit. Nourish by Joanne ‘budgie’ Jemmeson Vibrant in colour and rich in textural detail, ‘Nourish’ by Joanne ‘budgie’ Jemmeson highlights the beauty of everyday objects. Featuring compositions centred on fruit and vegetables, arranged with household objects and patterned materials, Jemmeson carefully considers light, form and colour in the recreation of each still life setting. Passionate about colour theory, Jemmeson demonstrates meticulous painting techniques, emphasising the tonal qualities and vibrancy, bringing each painting to life. Jemmeson is the winner of the 2025 Boroondara Arts Encouragement Award, awarded annually to a local exhibitor in the Camberwell Art Show and recognising excellence in contemporary visual art.Accessibility of this spaceAccessible car parkingAccessible drop-off areaAutomatic doorsAccessible toiletsRampsClear signageLiftsQuiet areasWide passageways. Image credit: Visitors at the official opening of ‘Impressions of Place’ by Melbourne & Victorian Artists Inc, Town Hall Gallery, 2025.
