The City of Boroondara Children and Young People’s Strategy
The Children and Young People’s Strategy is Council’s overarching commitment to children and young people. It aims to build the capacity of children and young people to be the best they can possibly be.
Development of the strategy included extensive consultation with over 850 children, young people and their families and a range of agencies and service providers within the municipality.
Implementation of the action plan is a collaborative responsibility across council and is the primary responsibility of the Family Youth and Recreation Department. The Early Years Advisory Committee and the Young People’s Advisory Committee will assist by providing feedback concerning issues relevant to children and young people. Council monitors and reviews the progress of the strategy through an annual assessment of the action plan.
