Every October, students across the state are encouraged to walk, ride or scoot to and from school to help build healthy, active habits for life.

We support local primary schools to participate in the program to help make Walk to School bigger and better each year. Throughout the month, we provide incentives to all primary schools in Boroondara and the school with the most walks recorded at the end of the month wins a smoothie bike!

Walk to School is a VicHealth initiative to help students get active and achieve the recommended 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Active travel options provide students with the opportunity to build relationships as well as reduce traffic and pollution.

Check with your local primary school to see if they are on board with Walk to School Month 2019.

You can also download and print out the Walk to School Month 2019 colouring in exercise.
