Participants must read agree to the General Rules before completing their registration.

Participants can register for multiple sections, except for those registering in a section titled ‘Non-Competitive’ who cannot register for a competitive section within the same category.

For aged sections, a participant’s age is determined as at the final day of the Eisteddfod, 25 July 2021.

Digital section requirements

Performances must be made in a single, continuous shot. No edits are allowed in the submitted video. Any edits of the performance will result in the disqualification of the entrant.

Entrants may record as many takes as they wish, but only one may be submitted.

Note: Entrants will not be judged on the quality of the recording or the quality of their instruments, they will only be judged on the quality of the performance.

At the start of the video, you must clearly state:

  • Your name, or name of your ensemble
  •  The section in which you, or your ensemble, are competing
  • The name of the piece(s) you are playing.

Please note this introduction may be made by a parent, guardian or teacher. This introduction will not be judged by the adjudicators and will have no impact on the competitor’s score or report. However, it is a requirement of entry.

If you book an official accompanist for your digital performance, they will be available to record and send you a backing track to perform with. Please contact accompanists directly to arrange your backing track recording.
