At the start of 2020, local dancer and artist Adrina Petrosian was a recipient of the Boroondara Arts Artist in Residence - a program which offers in-kind studio space in return for a service to engage the community in the artist’s creative form through workshops and development opportunities.
March 2020 brought an abrupt halt to the use of the studio and Adrina found herself at home in lockdown like the rest of Melbourne. Whilst in isolation, Adrina persisted with her intention to develop an artistic project and safely engage the community.
Adrina created an elegant and simple piece of choreography involving movement and music to explore the human perspective. Developed in her apartment for the enjoyment of the community, ‘Line in Motion’ is a short online film reflecting the importance of art and the community’s collective experience during lockdown.
