Amendment C308boro proposes to implement the recommendations of the City of Boroondara Municipal-Wide Heritage Gap Study Volume 6: Hawthorn East to introduce the Heritage Overlay to 17 individually significant places, eight heritage precincts and one precinct extension on a permanent basis.

Current status (November 2021)

Amendment C308boro implements the Hawthorn East Heritage Gap Study by introducing the Heritage Overlay to seventeen individual heritage places, eight heritage precincts and one extension to an existing heritage precinct, on a permanent basis.

On 16 September 2021, the Minister for Planning approved Amendment C308boro to the Boroondara Planning Scheme.  The amendment and revised planning controls came into effect on 5 November 2021.

About Amendment C308boro

The amendment applies the Heritage Overlay on a permanent basis to 17 individual heritage places and eight (8) heritage precincts, and one extension to an existing heritage precinct as detailed below.
