About Amendment C302

This amendment proposes to correct a number of Heritage Overlay anomalies contained within the Boroondara Planning Scheme which included rectifying mapping errors, correcting the boundaries of the Heritage Overlay to align with property boundaries and removing redundant controls.

Current status (November  2018) 

Approval of the amendment 

On 20 August 2018, the Urban Planning Special Committee (UPSC) resolved to commence the planning scheme amendment process to introduce proposed changes to the Boroondara Planning Scheme. Access a copy of the UPSC report

Amendment C302 specifically related to anomalies which met the requirements of the ‘fast track’ amendment process pursuant to Section 20A of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 (the Act). Section 20A allowed Council to expedite the approval of correctional changes to the planning scheme. 

On 16 November 2018, the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning under delegation of the Minister for Planning approved Amendment C302 to the Boroondara Planning Scheme.  The amendment and revised planning controls came into effect on 29 November 2018.
