Council is proposing changes to planning controls affecting land at 53 Walpole Street, Kew
Amendment C342boro proposes to apply the Heritage Overlay to the land at 53 Walpole Street, Kew on a permanent basis.
Current status (November 2021)
On 8 November 2021, the Urban Planning Delegated Committee (UPDC) considered the independent Panel’s report and resolved to:
- Receive and acknowledge the Panel’s report and recommendations, in accordance with Section 27(1) of the Planning and Environment Act 1987.
- Adopt the revised heritage citation.
- Refer the updated Amendment C342boro to an Ordinary Meeting of Council to be adopted in accordance with Section 29(1) of the Planning and Environment Act 1987.
- Authorise the Director Urban Living to undertake minor changes to the amendment and associated planning controls that do not change the intent of the controls.

Amendment C342boro will now be considered at a future Council Meeting.
Council will decide whether to accept the UPDC’s recommendation to adopt Amendment C342boro.
All submitters to the amendment as well as any affected and adjoining property owners and occupiers will be sent an invitation to attend the Council meeting.
