About Amendment C302

This amendment proposes to correct a number of Heritage Overlay anomalies contained within the Boroondara Planning Scheme which include rectifying mapping errors, correcting the boundaries of the Heritage Overlay to align with property boundaries and removing redundant controls.

Current status (August 2018) 

Request for the Minister for Planning to prepare, adopt and approve the amendment 

On 20 August 2018, the Urban Planning Special Committee (UPSC) resolved to commence the planning scheme amendment process to introduce proposed changes to the Boroondara Planning Scheme. Access a copy of the UPSC report

Amendment C302 specifically relates to anomalies which meet the requirements of the ‘fast track’ amendment process pursuant to Section 20A of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 (the Act). Section 20A allows Council to expedite the approval of correctional changes to the planning scheme. 

In accordance with the resolution, Council has submitted Amendment C302 to the Minister for Planning for approval. Council is now awaiting the Minister’s decision. Once the Minister for Planning has made a decision on Council’s request for approval, Council will notify all affected and relevant adjoining property owners and occupiers of the Minister’s decision.
