Hi, everybody. Vanessa from the City of Boroondara. We're all doing Christmas at home this year, so I thought it was a really good opportunity for me to share with you some of the DIY homemade gifts that I'll be making for my family this year. Before I do, I'd like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land and pay my respects to elders past, present and emerging, and any Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people that are watching this.

So I've decided that I wanted to get on a sort of recycle, homemade kind of train for my gift giving this year. And one of the things that I think is really beautiful is anything that we can give people in our lives that pamper them. So, I've made up a coffee body scrub which is really, really beautiful. And so I'm going to talk you through how I've done that.

So, what I've done is I've got... put in one cup of organic coffee, one cup of organic sugar, half a cup of coconut oil. But if you're using solidified coconut oil, just make sure you melt it down a little bit so that it mixes through really beautifully. Half a teaspoon of cinnamon and a tablespoon of vanilla essence. And the aromas are really, really beautiful and the texture's gorgeous. And this is what is has turned out to look like. So, what I'm going to do with that is to put it in my recycled jar which I've kind of wrapped up a little bit to make it look a bit pretty. And I'll probably put this in a hamper that I'll give to my mum for Christmas. I've also decided to recycle Christmas cards this year. So, what I've done is got old Christmas cards that I'd received last year and cut out a little message or a picture. I can write on the back. This can become my gift card for this year. So, if you've got someone in your life that you'd like to pamper, this is a really affordable and beautiful homemade gift for them. Thanks.
