It's my pleasure to be giving you an update on the progress of the Canterbury Community Precinct.

Internal fit out works of the main building are nearing completion, with it due to open early in 2023.

Landscaping works around the main building are continuing. They will complement the Canterbury Gardens and will create a lovely environment for this building.

In addition to redeveloping the three buildings in the Canterbury Gardens, this new building which adjoins the old bowls club, will provide space for many of the local services.

The main building will soon become home to the Canterbury Neighbourhood Center and the Canterbury Community Garden.

Canterbury Maternal and Child Health.

Canterbury Gardens Kindergarten.

Playstation Occasional Care.

Canterbury Toy Library.

Following completion and opening of the main building redevelopment works on the existing buildings will continue and they will become home to Interchange Inner East and Canterbury History Group and Surrey Hills Historical Society.

We thank the surrounding community and the precinct service providers for all your patience and support.

Please keep a close eye on our website and on social media for updates about the opening of the new building and for further progress updates on the refurbishment works of the existing buildings.

I look forward to being in touch soon to share the exciting news of us welcoming the community into the building.
