We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who shared their vision for Glenferrie Road at this year’s Glenferrie Festival, held on 1 March 2020.
The weather held out for a beautiful day, with an estimated 70,000 attendees passing through the gates over the course of the festival.
Over 500 ideas were displayed at the Community Ideas Zone, with many festival goers taking the time to contribute their ideas and browse the fantastic suggestions put forward by other members of the community.
We were pleased to see people from all different age groups and backgrounds engaging with Council staff and each other, sharing their big ideas for the future of Glenferrie Road and learning more about the placemaking project currently underway to revitalise the area.
The Smoothie Bike was a big hit, as well as the succulents that were given away in return for our community taking the time to share their valuable feedback with us.

All of these ideas contribute to a shared vision for the Glenferrie Precinct and will be used to identify key areas for improvement. This will culminate in the development of a Place Plan which will be presented back to the community for further input later this year.
