The science of palaeontology has been revolutionised by 3D digital data, derived from sources ranging from SLR cameras to hospital-grade CT scanners, to the Australian Synchrotron. However, these techniques are only applicable to fossils that have already been found. Join Dr Stephen Poropat, Postdoctoral Researcher (Palaeontology), as he asks, what if we could use technology to not only find fossils, but to determine whether or not they are worth digging up in the first place?  This is an online Webex event. You do not need to have a Webex account to attend an online session. How to use Webex On your computer using a web browser (nothing to install) Select the Join Event link in the event confirmation email you received after registering. On your computer using Webex App (with Webex Meetings installed) Open Webex Meetings and select Join Meeting. Enter Event number or the link from the event confirmation email sent to you after registering. Enter your name and email address. Enter the Event Password from your event confirmation email. On your tablet or smartphone Download the Cisco Webex Meetings app from your Apple App Store or Google Play Store prior to the workshop. Select Join Meeting. Enter Event number or the link from the event confirmation email sent to you after registering. Enter your name and email address. Enter the Event Password from your event confirmation email. Select Join in the top right corner of your screen. How to use Webex
