Event details
Join our exciting workshop series to create an artwork for 'Universally Repaired’, a collaborative installation presented as part of the 'Make, Mend, Do: Crafting a circular economy' program.
Led by multi-disciplinary artist Rachel Wood, each workshop offers a unique opportunity to co-create a community artwork to be installed in the Explore and Create space at Hawthorn Arts Centre from October.
Delve into the world of upcycling and discover the art of transforming everyday materials into beautiful art forms, such as:
- soft plastics
- old clothes
- cloth
- milk bottles.
Learn traditional craft techniques including weaving and macramé to create small, unique artworks which will contribute to the final art installation.
Don't miss this opportunity to engage with the community, learn new skills, and make a tangible difference through art making. Participate in this inspiring initiative to shape a more sustainable and conscious future.
Light catering will be provided at each workshop. If you have dietary requirements, please email [email protected] to let us know in advance.
