Trade your gently used clothing items with others and score some great new pieces for your closet. This is a great way to refresh your wardrobe without spending money, reduce textile waste and promote a circular economy. Experts will be on-hand to help guide you through the process and explain how to get the most out of a clothes swap. Receive tips on what to look for, how to assess the quality of items, and how to create a versatile wardrobe with pieces that work well together. This event is open to all, so invite your friends and make a day of it. It's a great opportunity to meet new people, swap fashion tips, and help reduce textile waste. So, clean out your closet, bring unwanted clothing items, and get ready to swap 'til you drop! How it works You must register to participate in the clothes swap for a small fee. The swap is for all genders and ages, with registrants invited to bring up to 5 items of clothing and up to 5 pieces of accessories (not jewellery). Clothes and accessories can include: tops, shirts, blouses and jackets pants, jeans and skirts dresses, jumpsuits and suits belts, bags and shoes scarves, ties and hats. Items will be checked before being accepted, and you will receive one token for every acceptable item of clothing or accessories to use in the swap. If deemed unsuitable, you will not receive a token. We will not accept the following items of clothes and accessories: clothes that are pillaged or damaged with holes, rips, stains or major faults underwear, swimwear, overused pyjamas, or overused workout gear. We cannot guarantee you will find something on the day, and we will not be able to take the clothing you have brought back. Any leftover items will be donated to Upcycle 4 Better.
