‘Streets of Your Town’ by Geoff Cunningham

‘Streets of Your Town’ by Geoff Cunningham is a community exhibition featuring spray paint and stencil-based paintings that explore the beauty, drama, and humour in everyday life.  

This exhibition transports viewers through Melbourne’s city streets, laying bare the weathered heritage buildings, power lines and laneways, and other often overlooked traces of modern life. Cunningham implements a range of artistic practices to capture the urban environment’s essence, including aerosol and acrylic paint, and stencils created through photography and digital art. This results in graffiti-style works, saturated in bold colours and images, celebrating the vibrant, gritty streets that are distinctly Melbourne.
