Kids 3 to 12 years old are invited to take part in free art activities designed by artists from Melbourne and around the world, including Alice Oehr, Kenny Pittock, and Malaki Kawai. These fun and engaging self-led art activities will spark your kid’s imagination. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The event is free, but bookings are essential. Visit the NGV website for more information.  Artists and activities Alice Oehr Melbourne artist and designer Alice Oehr shares her colourful pop art style and passion for drawing cakes, portraits and neighbourhood creatures. Children can discover Alice’s tips for drawing a delicious cake, create an extraordinary portrait, experiment with different ways to draw animals and add the creatures of their neighbourhood into Alice’s illustration.  Kenny Pittock Melbourne artist Kenny Pittock uses a playful approach and wordplay to explore everyday objects in his artworks including ceramics, sculptures and paintings.  Kids can create some cheeky dog characters and draw what they are really thinking! Then they can draw funny ice-cream flavours for animal friends.  A dream cookbook cover is on the menu using using Kenny’s top tips. Misaki Kawai   As a child, Japanese artist Misaki Kawai loved to make puppets and perform shows with her brother.
